Charles Lutz to reinforce Ergonomics AG
Charles Lutz reinforces the Ergonomics team as Business Development Manager per 1st October 2009.

His mission in this newly created role is to successfully expand and promote sales activities both nationally and abroad. This is to be achieved by positioning the whole Ergonomics product & services portfolio in the areas of electronic payment solutions, information security and risk management.

Ergonomics has brought on board an experienced professional who has worked in various front-orientated positions for well-known companies in Switzerland and abroad. In cooperation with the highly competent professional services team as well as with strategic partners Charles Lutz will strive to craft innovative, efficient and practical solutions – in close collaboration with customers.

Charles Lutz has an Executive MBA from University of Strathclyde Business School.

Cell Phone Call Credit Loading at Bancomat ATMs: Another First for NCR ATMs
Ergonomics was first with implementing the "ATM Mobile Voucher" function into the NCR Bancomat software in Switzerland.

More than 40% (approx. 3.2 million) of all mobile phone owners in Switzerland use prepaid phone credits for their mobile phones. This means that they buy the call credits they need, generating turnover of more than CHF 1.2 billion annually. With ATM Mobile Voucher, mobile phone owners can now load their call credits with a Maestro card at ATMs. Until today, the call credits could be loaded at postal banking machines and SBB ticket vending machines, with scratch-off cards (available in stores and newsagents) or with Mobile Voucher from Telekurs Multi Solutions. The call credit loading process at ATMs takes place through a direct connection to the leading Swiss telecom providers.

Customers of the Krokus/AGI bank group and of UBS will be able to use this function as early as October 2008.

The Zürcher Kantonalbank provides financing for the Start-up ePark24 AG
As a Spin-off of Ergonomics, the ePark24 AG is now established as an independent company.

The Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) runs a program called Start-up Finance, which - as the name indicates - provides financing for start-up companies. The Ergonomics spin-off ePark24 AG has been selected by the ZKB to receive start-up capital. As an innovative financial institution, the ZKB has quickly identified the potential of the virtual parking meter ePark24. Further information on ePark24 can be found here.

Ergonomics in Bern!
In September 2007, Ergonomics establishes a new subsidiary in Bern.

On the 1st of September 2007, Ergonomics establishes a subsidiary in the Bern. Our new office is located in the old town at the Marktgasse 5, close to the Zytgloggen tower and only minutes from the main train station (map). With the Bern subsidiary, we strengthen our activities in the central region of Switzerland as well as the business unit Information Security & Risk Management.

Orbit 2007: Vasco Awards PostFinance for Its Visionary Approach of Swiss E-Banking Market
PostFinance is First Finance Institute in Switzerland to Offer Vasco’s Strong Authentication to all its End Users.

Vasco Data Security International, Inc. (Nasdaq: VDSI), the leading software security company specializing in authentication products , announced that it has awarded PostFinance (www.postfinance.ch) with Vasco’s Market Vision Award. The award consists of a bronze sculpture by the Belgian artist Inge Dewilde.

The foundation for professional protection requirements analyses.

We employ the tool ProtAn® by BSGITSEC for the development of protection requirements analyses, which is one of the new services in our Information Security and Risk Management offering. By applying ProtAn® we identify the process- and application-specific requirements regarding system availability, data availability and integrity, as well as confidentiality. The analyses are jointly developed with the management of the operating departments.

Daniel Messerli Heads the Division Information Security & Risk Management

The Information Security Officer of the Federal Department of Justice and Police joins Ergonomics on May 1, 2007.

Daniel MesserliFor the past seven years, Daniel Messerli was the Information Security Officer of the Federal Department of Justice and Police (EJPD). In the past four years, he was the designated Information Security Officer of the Department (ISBD).

During his tenure, he was in charge for the installation and operation of the SSO portal of the EJPD and for the integration of the Public Key Infrastructure of the Federal Department of Information Technology (BIT) for the strong authentication for all police and justice department systems and data bases.

Daniel Messerli is also lecturer for information security at the Lucerne School of Business (HSW), where he completed his post-graduate degree Master of IT Security.

He will be heading the division Information Security & Risk Management and offer his long-term experience to our customers. Messerli can rely on a team of proven consultants. Ergonomics' offerings in the security field include now the technical and organizational compentencies equally.

ATM/Bancomat Software Version 5.1 - Certification Finalized

Ergonomics is the first software company that can provide the latest Bancomat software Version 5.1.

The Bancomat Version 5.1 supports new functions, which are important for banks and customers alike. One of the new features is the so-called Direct Currency Conversion (DCC) for cash withdrawals, where foreign card holders approve the transaction amount directly in their home currency.

Additional and more convenient functions facilitate the regular maintenance tasks for the ATM support personnel.

Ergonomics releases the first version of the ep2 Library for Java
The ep2 Library for Java simplifies the integration of existing and new application into the ep2 world.

The new ep2 Library for Java supports all communication protocols of the ep2 standard. In addition to the communication protocols, the comprehensive security functions are also provided. The ep2 Library for Java is based on a modular component architecture.

Finance Forum 2006: Erfolgreiches 16. Finance Forum 2006
Ergonomics präsentierte neben den Software Engineering Dienstleistungen aktuelle EMV-CAP und PKI-Lösungen.

Das 16. Finance Forum war wieder ein voller Erfolg. Die erstmals durchgeführte BPO Sonderschau war ein Publikumsmagnet.

Das Finance Forum zählt heute in der Schweizer Finanzszene zu den bedeutendsten Informations- und Networkingplattformen. Die klare Fokussierung auf die aktuellsten und wichtigsten Themen, die die Branche bewegen, wird von den Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern offensichtlich ebenso geschätzt wie von den Referenten.

So gelang es auch dieses Jahr wieder, Spitzenvertreter von Banken und Versicherungen für Referate und als Gesprächspartner bei den Paneldiskussionen zu gewinnen.

PostFinance (Switzerland) to Use VASCO’s Digipass 810 for Retail and Corporate Banking
PostFinance Secures its Customers Against Phishing and other Fraud Schemes with VASCO’s Digipass 810; First Bank in Switzerland to offer Digipass 810 EMV-CAP to its customers.

VASCO Data Security International, Inc. (Nasdaq: VDSI) (www.vasco.com), the global number one vendor of strong user authentication and e-signature products, today announced the Swiss financial institute PostFinance (www.postfinance.ch) will start deploying Digipass 810 to its e-banking clients in the spring of 2007.

PostFinance is the financial services arm of Swiss Post. The last few years, PostFinance has developed into an all-round retail financial institution. With more than 720,000 online clients, its e-banking system E-Finance-yellownet is the largest financial services provider in Switzerland.

To add an extra layer of security to its successful banking channels, PostFinance opted for VASCO’s Digipass 810. The functionalities of Digipass 810 include EMV-CAP (Europay-Mastercard-Visa Chip Authentication Program), which makes PostFinance the first financial institute in Switzerland to use strong authentication that is EMV-CAP certified.

PrivacyPUK - Efficient Pre-Personalization of SafeNet PKI Cards and USB Tokens
Generate and store PIN and PUKs in one single step

PrivacyPUK allows to pre-personalize the SafeNet PKI cards (330/400) and the USB tokens (i2032/4000) in one simple step. PrivacyPUK generates PIN and PUKs based on the security policy of the organization, stores them on the card and prints a PIN-Mailer that can be handed over to the end-user of the card. The PUKs are encrypted and stored in a database. The helpdesk personnel can easily access the PUKs whenever needed. PrivacyPUK is available as of June 1st, 2006. Ergonomics Presented the ePMS at the Igeho Trade Show
As a partner, Ergonomics presented the ep2 POS Management System at the Aduno booth.

The promising partnership between the ePMS supplier Ergonomics and the credit card acquirer Aduno was presented to the market at the recent trade show Igeho in Basel. Interested customers were able to gain insight of the benefits of this partnership.

Aduno SA: The Viseca Card Services AG based in Glattbrugg ZH was established in 1999 as a cooperative enterprise of the Swiss Kantonalbanken, the Raiffeisen-Group, the RBA-Banks, Migrosbank, Bank Coop as well as a number of private and commercial banks. In addition, PostFinance, Air France and Mercedes cooperate with Viseca for the issuance of their credit cards. The Aduno SA based in Bedano TI was founded on the 2nd of August 2005 as a fully owned subsidiary of the Viseca Card Services AG. Aduno currently handles credit- and debit card transactions for more than 48'000 merchants in Switzerland.

Ergonomics arbeitet aktiv an der Standardisierung im eGovernment mit
Ende Januar 2004 wird das Dokument "Standards-Architekturen für eGovernment Anwendungen in der Schweiz" publiziert
Das Teilprojekt "Technologie" des eCH hat zum Ziel, ein einheitliches technologisches Framework zu definieren. Das Framework soll die Einordnung der verschiedenen technologischen Bereiche in einem Gesamtkontext ermöglichen. Dabei wird eine möglichst weitgehende Angleichung an den europäischen Standard (SAGA) angestrebt.

Überdies sollen technologische Standards definiert und bewertet werden. Die bestehenden Technologien sollen in Bezug auf ihren Einsatz im Bereich eGovernment bewertet resp. kommentiert werden. Die Fachgruppe definiert daraufhin in Abstimmung mit den europäischen Initiativen (z.B. SAGA) Empfehlungen für die Verwendung der Technologien in eGovernment-Projekten.
