Ergonomics' state-of-the-art ep2 POS Management System (ePMS) is the management tool for large and small retailers that move towards ep2 (EFT-POS 2000), the latest standard for point-of-sales payment processing in Switzerland. ep2 supports smart cards and is based on the international EMV standard.

The ePMS is the hub for all electronic payments. The ePMS collects point-of-sales transactions from the terminals and forwards them to the selected acquirers for the final processing. The ePMS provides flexibility (use the best acquirers) and transparency (comprehensive monitoring features) for all the transactions processed.

The ePMS provides the basic functions of an ep2 PMS and a number of additional features:

• Comprehensive reports, analyses and statements for full transparency
• Interface for automated financial data import into a wide range of accounting and ERP systems, eg. SAP FI/CO
• Automated reconciliation of processed payment transactions and credits received
• Legacy interfaces for current card-X terminals and Swiss acquirers - automated reconciliation already supported
• Flexible accounting for revenue commissions
• Revenue analyses based on location co-ordinates from terminals with geographical zone display
• Full support of SNMP-based System Management Tools such as HP Open View
• Integrated Trouble Ticketing and time controlled escalation management
• Flexible hierarchy for the administration of terminals, users and the assignment of user rights
• Support of Direct Currency Conversion (DCC) transactions

The ePMS is based on state-of-the-art technologies, such as Oracle, Java, and browser-based user interfaces. All Internet and Intranet communication is encrypted with 128 bit SSL.
